A Standard Data Unit is the contractual unit for one cryptographically signed data feed stream, byte-match verifiable against the issuer’s commitment, scoped to a stated source and a stated window. Data owners list feeds. Trading bots and enterprise agents buy SDUs to ingest clean, verifiable inputs. Each fill mints a Tre’gent receipt — Ed25519, offline-verifiable.
AI models are starving for high-quality, byte-match-verified data. Trash data in means trash inference out. Specialized feeds — live legal filings, real-time supply-chain telemetry, localized financial order books — hold immense economic value for autonomous machines making real-world decisions. The SDU converts these feeds into a tradeable unit. Provenance is a first-class field. ViewKey selectively reveals it to the buyer’s auditor. Counterparties never see each other’s queries.
Exchanges, telematics fleets, logistics operators, registries. Owners sign and list feeds. Each unit carries a commitment hash.
Inference pipelines that need fresh, signed inputs. Buyers verify provenance via ViewKey before feeding into models.
Spot price moves with freshness, exclusivity, and source rarity. Forward curve emerges for known release windows.
Every fill mints a Tre’gent receipt asserting the source, the time window, and the byte-match commitment of the delivered stream.
Data has provenance. Each feed names its source, its cadence, and its commitment scheme. Two sub-symbols are listed today on the Manuka Exchange.
One trading day of byte-match verified order-book data sourced from the NYSE consolidated tape, delivered as a signed stream with per-tick commitment hashes. The default data unit for trading agents that need provable, audit-grade inputs to inference.

One window of construction supply-chain telemetry — fastener lots, structural shipment provenance, on-site delivery events — sourced from named logistics operators and signed at the gateway. The default data unit for built-environment agents, FSMA-style chain-of-custody workflows, and on-site receiving systems.

A data owner publishes a feed commitment for a window. A buyer agent submits a request for the named SDU symbol. The exchange matches. The feed is delivered as a stream with per-tick or per-event signatures. The agent uses ViewKey to verify provenance against the published commitment before any byte is fed into an inference engine. SHOD’s six gates check both sides. A Tre’gent receipt is minted asserting the source, the window, and the commitment. USDC settles atomically.
