What's metered
COMPUTE-PER-SECOND bills per GPU-second, priced at $0.001 per GPU-second, confirmed by the live endpoint. Anything smaller than a normal invoice line becomes chargeable on its own.
What the receipt covers
Each signed receipt ties the GPU-seconds billed to the job that ran, so a buyer can check that the compute charged for is the compute that was actually consumed.
The Circle complement
Circle's flow proves the USDC authorization for the compute job was valid and settles it later in a TEE. It does not prove the chip did the work. Hive's receipt signs the GPU-second count against the job, closing that gap. Circle Nanopayments enables gas-free USDC transfers as small as $0.000001 by batching offchain authorizations into one onchain settlement, per Circle's Nanopayments documentation.
