What's metered
IOT-PER-EVENT bills per event, priced at $0.000001 per event (lite tier), confirmed by the live endpoint. Anything smaller than a normal invoice line becomes chargeable on its own.
What the receipt covers
Each signed receipt covers one sensor event, so a machine paying a microcent for a reading has a signed record that the reading was produced, not fabricated after the fact.
The Circle complement
Circle's flow authorizes a sub-cent USDC transfer for the event. It does not prove the sensor emitted anything. Hive's receipt signs the event itself. Circle Nanopayments enables gas-free USDC transfers as small as $0.000001 by batching offchain authorizations into one onchain settlement, per Circle's Nanopayments documentation.
