What's metered
STORAGE-PER-GB bills per GB-hour, priced at $0.0001 per GB-hour, confirmed by the live endpoint. Anything smaller than a normal invoice line becomes chargeable on its own.
What the receipt covers
Each signed receipt binds the GB-hours billed to a proof that the stored data was still intact at that time, so switching storage rails mid-tenancy does not mean losing the audit trail.
The Circle complement
Circle's flow authorizes payment for storage time. It does not prove the data survived that time unaltered. Hive's receipt signs that continuity. Circle Nanopayments enables gas-free USDC transfers as small as $0.000001 by batching offchain authorizations into one onchain settlement, per Circle's Nanopayments documentation.
