What's metered

STREAM-PER-SECOND bills per second, priced at $0.00001 per second, confirmed by the live endpoint. Anything smaller than a normal invoice line becomes chargeable on its own.

What the receipt covers

Each signed receipt covers a rolling window of stream seconds delivered, so a viewer paying by the second can check the stream ran for as long as they were billed.

The Circle complement

Circle's flow authorizes payment for the seconds billed. It does not prove the stream was actually delivered for that long. Hive's receipt signs the delivered duration. Circle Nanopayments enables gas-free USDC transfers as small as $0.000001 by batching offchain authorizations into one onchain settlement, per Circle's Nanopayments documentation. It runs live on mainnet across 11 EVM chains, per Crowdfund Insider. Hive has no relationship with Circle. This describes their public protocol and where a receipt sits next to it.
